Why write a book. It can be a pain in the ass. Grammer and sentence structure I felt like I was in elementary school again. The story needs to be told, if not because it is an interesting story, for history sakes. The story of the combat medic is one that is not often told to the public. I aim to change that. I ask anyone deployed out in combat, how has a combat medic touched your life.
The story is my story. It is not the most adventureous story ever told, it is exciting. Nor is any fabricated. I tell my story and the events I participated in and witnessed in My Journey as a Combat Medic.
The title in itself is a personal reflection of my work as a combat medic. It is a personal reflection, and I suspect that many other combat medics can appreciate the story being told.
I served in Desert Storm with the 3rd Bn / 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and in Afghanistan with the 76th Infantry Brigade which is an Indiana Army National Guard unit. I served honorably with both organizations.
I have a website at http://www.armycombatmedic.com/ for more information.
